OUR MINISTRIES
We are a Bible-based congregation and we share our pastor with Oak Grove Presbyterian, located a few miles down the road. Pastor Clark does an excellent job shepherding both congretations. We share special joint services at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter as well as a joint Bible study.
Prayer
Prayer is a very important part of the life of our church. We pray for each other, the sick and the bereaved in the community, and our country and its leadership, as well as world-wide concerns and disasters. We believe in the power of prayer and the need for fellowship with our Lord.
Sunday school
Our Sunday school meets each Sunday at 10:00. We have three classes, the Children's Class, the Adult Class, and the Adult 2 Class.
Bible Study
Pastor Clark leads Center Ridge and Oak Grove in a monthlhy bible study. We are studying End Times, by R. Paul Stevens. We meet on alternately at each church the first Wednesday night of each month.
Music
Although our choir is small in number, their voices bless us each Sunday with beautiful hymns. We are also blessed to have several people in our congregation who provide special music for us from time to time.
Community service
We are involved with several community service ministries. We supply Glendale-Kenly Elementary with school supplies for needy children. We also buy Christmas gifts for the school's Angel Tree. We partner with Kenly Area Ministries to provide food for the local food closet. Contributions are made during the year to Children's Hope Alliance for Children in Statesville and the Women's Prison in Raleigh, as well as Harbor House for battered women. A very special ministry for our church is the provision of food for bereaved families. Our church facilities are available for community functions, family reunions, weddings, and funerals.
